I just had a face to face encounter with a being bearing a battered sense of humility. That no matter what it takes for that person to get what he or she wants, even if it means squashing other people's feet, he or she simply doesn't care about the consequences at stake. I have to say I have never seen anything like it.
But oh well. We are aspiring for the same things here. It's not the so-called prestige that you force upon yourself when you finally achieve something. Isn't it so much better to savor victory knowing that you've made friends instead of enemies along the way? The ones who will eventually support your success and actually convince you that you are indeed worthy of your achievements?
Egocentric people rarely find contentment in their own ventures. But that's just because they're too busy caring about themselves in the whole process. And the limit is drawn there - it extinguishes all means of providing satisfaction hence, the stepping on other people.
Anyway. I'm so swamped right now I don't know where to begin.=s
